Participatory policy- and decision-making becomes at least expected if not obligatory in the European planning context. Next to its advantages, many scholars argue that it requires much more time and money, therefore, the process gets insufficient. In terms of climate change/heat adaptation, time plays a significant role, however, the una contro tutti event will describe the necessity and methods in which participatory processes, such as Urban Living Labs can contribute to the efficiency, sustainability and justice of the adaptation.
