Is luminescence an useful tool for dating Martian analogue?

The pros and cons of using the luminescence dating technique on Martian analogue deposits will be analysed. In particular, given the different luminescent performances of grain, we will investigate the best Martian depositional environments to be dated with the aforementioned technique and the best protocols to adopt. After the analysis, we will wonder how the technique can be implemented remotely on the Martian surface.
