The remarkable advances of heritage sciences in recent decades have provided new data characterizing both the geometric, visual and temporal attributes of CH artefacts. This renewal of study approaches now raises new challenges in terms of multidimensional data management. Considering semantic enrichment as an essential bridge enabling a lasting connection between human knowledge and computer processing, this work aims to explore the path from data production to multidisciplinary knowledge.

Architect and PhD in engineering sciences, Violette Abergel is researcher at the CNRS within the MAP laboratory (UPR 2002 CNRS). Specialized on the visualization of multidimensional cultural heritage digital data, she is currently involved in several federative projects, such as Notre-Dame de Paris' scientific action and the ESPADON project run by the Fondation des Sciences du Patrimoine, for which she coordinates the Data task force.
